Burger Box Menu Design

This project showcased skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign to produce a menu for a fictional food truck called Burger Box. We had to create a design that fit the theme of the business, in this case a more upscale but still family friendly environment. This is the final design, though two additional variations were also produced for review.

Space Race Infographic

To create a design that conveys information is a simple one, but to create one that conveys a significant portion of information is a difficult task. This design showcases the major points of the space race, including nation, altitude, reason for notoriety, crew (if any) and year of the flight, all in an easy to understand layout.

Layout on print mediums is an important skill for designers to master. This article uses multiple principles of design to provide not only an informative article, but pictures and block quotes to enhance readability.

Cookbook Layout Design

Designing to instruct someone requires a careful consideration of materials, steps, and what aid, visual or otherwise, will help in the process. The Easy Home Cooking Cookbook provides custom written step by step instructions for multiple dishes and includes high resolution photographs for added clarity.

Insurance Brochure Layout

The complex nature of services makes creative application of color, hierarchy, layout, and placement an incredibly important skill, showcased in the brochure designs here. By using these techniques a huge amount of information is broken up and displayed in an easy to understand format, better appealing to customers. The two designs had different criterion and information that needed to be placed and remain different yet recognizable as the same brand.

WDSC-15 Television Studio Manual

This project was one born out of inspiration and necessity, as when I was attending Daytona State College the Interactive Media Production program and the Television Studio Certification program did not have any written reference manual for students to reference if they needed to double check proper procedure. We decided that we should produce a textbook reference that would be useful for future students who enrolled in the program as our final project for a course and it incorporated everything we had learned up to that point.

We took and edited photos, wrote copy, designed logo and layout, and conferred with multiple instructors to ensure that the information we had was accurate and up to date. While a bit of a daunting task our team came together and delivered a stellar product that provides an incredibly useful reference for all those who undertake either of the programs that the institution offers.
